The Business Plan

The vision of Mission Valley Aquatics is to provide a state-of-the-art aquatic facility that enhances the health, fitness, safety, recreation, and quality of life for all in the Mission Valley. Mission Valley Aquatics will build an indoor aquatic center which will include a competition pool, zero entry pool with water spray features, and smaller pool suitable for instruction, therapy and aqua aerobics. A water slide is included in the plans.

The facility will have a hot tub and sauna. A planned second phase will include basketball and racquetball courts as well as child care space. Mission Valley Aquatics intends to construct the facility with money raised through grants and fundraising efforts. Construction will not begin until all funding is pledged. The land for the pool has been donated and is in a central location for the broader community off Highway 93 across from Safeway. Programming focuses on the needs of various groups in the community from infants to seniors.

Programs to be offered include: open swim, family swim, parent/tot swim lessons, swim lessons, pool parties, summer camp programs, swim teams, water/boating safety programs, diving, lifeguard/swim instructor training, water sports, lap swimming, water fitness classes, and pool rentals for other organizations to conduct specialized water training and competition. Programming in the early mornings and the lunch break timeslot will provide for health and exercise activities. During the school day parent/tot and senior programming will occur. After school hours will be programmed to serve the needs of school age children, with the evenings programmed for family activities.
