Check It Out — NEW Summer Yoga Classes!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERASummer is here, and with it comes the mad rush of summer life in the Mission Valley. Between family events, community festivals and weekend barbecues, wouldn’t it be nice to find some time to relax and reset?

Three new classes are coming to the Mission Valley Aquatic Center’s summer lineup this year! We are pleased to welcome experienced yoga teacher Anna Kirchner to our staff for the summer, and with her, some new classes for you to enjoy.

Starting Monday, June 2, Anna will be teaching a Beginning Yoga class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7-8 a.m. in the beautiful new community room. This entry-level class will explore traditional yoga techniques and promote core strength, improved posture, relaxation and flexibility.

She will also lead a new Aqua Yoga class, Tuesday and Thursday from 9-10 a.m. in the warm water therapy pool. This class will translate traditional yoga techniques into a warm water environment to promote healing, flexibility and better balance.

While geared toward individuals with arthritis, fibromyalgia or joint and muscle weakness, gentle stretching is beneficial for all.

All three new classes require the purchase of a “Fitness Class Punch Pass,” or you can pay the daily fitness class drop-in rate of $8 per class. Fitness class punch passes are $60 (for 10 punches), or $30 for clients with an annual swim pass.

So, join us for one of our new classes this summer — in the pool, or on land!
