Lifeguard Course Sundays & Wednesdays, March 9 – April 6

Lifeguard_FEATUREDMission Valley Aquatics is hiring lifeguards and swim instructors to fill morning and daytime shifts during the week. Are you available? If so, we need YOU! But first, you need to get certified!

If you’re 15 or older and looking for a great part-time or summer job, or a challenging career that’s in demand, this Red Cross Lifeguarding program is the place to start. Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn patron rescue and surveillance skills, first aid and CPR/AED.

Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old and pass certain swimming requirements. The total course requires 24-29 hours of lecture and in-water skill work, spread over four weeks. Applicants earn a two-year Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification after passing written and practical skills tests.

The spring Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED course is scheduled for Sundays and Wednesdays, March 9 – April 6. There are nine total lessons, each three hours long with a pre-course skills test on the first day. The schedule is as follows:
