Spring Lifeguarding Course Is In The Works

Lifeguard_FEATUREDSpring Course Dates TBD — Coming Soon!

Mission Valley Aquatics is hiring lifeguards to fill daytime shifts during the week. Are you available? If so, we need YOU!

If you’re 15 or older and looking for a great part-time job or challenging career that’s in demand, this Red Cross Lifeguarding program is the place to start. Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn patron rescue and surveillance skills, first aid and CPR/AED.

Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old and pass certain swimming requirements. The total course requires 24-29 hours of lecture and in-water skill work, spread over two weeks. Applicants earn a two-year Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification after passing written and practical skills tests.

If you are interested in earning your certification and ultimately working at the Mission Valley Aquatic Center, consider signing up for this great course.
