2013 Polson Bay’s Water Daze Swim Results

WD 2013 Website PicIt was another great year for the Polson Bay’s Water Daze 1-mile swim. Seventy-seven swimmers took off from the KwaTaqNuk docks and navigated the open water of Polson Bay en-route to Boettcher Park.

In the end, it was 16-year-old Daniel Novinski from Grand Island, Neb. who climbed the ramp first in a time of 26:16. Polson’s Matt Seeley (26:31) was second, followed close behind by Kalispell’s Luke Johnson (26:33).

For the women, Polson’s Ali Bronsdon (29:47) came in just ahead of Michelle Botner (29:59) of Whitefish. Missoula’s Kyle Watson finished third in 30:35.

The kids’ race was bigger than ever in 2013, due most likely to the early success of the new Mission Valley Aquatics swim team. Seventeen youth took part in one or both of the two kids swim races. Maddy Butler, of Missoula, won the longer distance race in a time of 2:11. Malia Seeley and Isaac Stene, both of Polson, were hot on her heels, finishing in 2:27 and 2:32 respectively.

Thanks again to all 2013 Water Daze participants, volunteers and race supporters. We hope to see you again next year!
