Next Lifeguarding Course Slated for September

at the Mission Valley Aquatic Center

If you’re 15 or older and looking for a great part-time job or challenging career that’s in demand, this Red Cross Lifeguarding program is the place to start. Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn patron rescue and surveillance skills, first aid and CPR/AED.

Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old and pass certain swimming requirements. The total course requires 24-29 hours of lecture and in-water skill work, spread over three weekends. Applicants earn a two-year Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification after passing written and practical skills tests.
